LONDON HEAT WAVE

Black and white of Tower Bridge

We saw this fountain last year too, I just like this hidden little garden in the midst of busyness

Wouldn't you know it, we arrived in London on the hottest day they have had since 1911. Thankfully our hotel had air conditioning so we got a good night's sleep (something we had REALLY been waiting for!) and then took a tour in the morning before heading out to the airport. We had the same guide as last year so it was really fun and we got to see some new hidden sights as well. Plus, it was much cooler in the morning and so God just took care of everything!

ROMANIA!!!!!

Florian (Carmen's brother), Sue, Su, Carmen and Mommy and me before we leave to go home!
Prayer meeting on our last night there. It lasted 7 1/2 hours woth us praying over people for the last 31/2 hours. The Holy Spirit fell so heavily that we were laughing, "crunching", moaning and falling as we persevered thru praying over each person. What a riot!

Our ministry team: Su Chiodo, me, Carmen and Sue Toeller. This was taken after I preached the message at Carmne's church on Sunday. History was made as I was the first woman to ever be allowed to preach in the church. Thank You Jesus! It went amazingly well and was received and endorsed by her pastor! I just say Thank You LORD! It was truly the highlight of my trip.

Just praising God at the prayer meeting!

One day we went out to Carmne's garden in the country. We took a walk down the village road and saw these cuties!

Me preaching on Sunday. I had two points (1) Be reconciled to Christ and (2) Live a life worthy of the call. Carmen interpreted for me of course!

Su, me and Sue at the young women's camp!

Just wanted to post a few photos from my missions trip to Romania. This trip was above and beyond anything that I could even hope or expect. Every expectation and desire was fulfilled and I was blessed beyond measure. There will be more descriptive updates on our ministry blog aver the next few days. If you want to check that out it is www.thetruthministry.blogspot.com

But either way- enjoy these snapshots!

GREAT DAY at Great America!

Six Flags in the 3rd dimension!

Eileen, KC and Amanda FINALLY sitting down for a moment....5 minutes before park closing!

Hangin with the Batman! KC told batman "you need to put some more color in your wardrobe.' He asked "why" (in the deep serious Batman voice) to which KC replied "black is depressing" and he said "Black is intimidating" (again, in the deep Batman voice)

Fourth of July Tradition!

At our NEW dining room table, we do a "beta test" with Beth on Taylor's new Berglund Family Trivial Pursuit game.

One of our favorite families, The Toeller's joined us for the festivities!

Eileen snags some red, white and blue beads from the parade people!

The Fourth of July celebration is big for us berglunds! Every year we have several traditions that we uphold. The first one is "the purchasing of candy!!!!!". July 3rd the kids get to pick out candy that they will be able to eat throughout the 4th. While this may not seem like a big deal for the average kid, our kids only get candy this ONE DAY of the year. (Well, now that they are a bit older, they are getting a piece here and there, but still pretty much- THIS DAY is it!)

We also send Mike (and sometimes Taylor) down to the parade route EARLYYYYY in the morning to stake out a spot for us all. People start to gather at 2 a.m. to get a curb side spot. Mike doesn't go until 5a.m. (we're not THAT crazy!) but still God blesses us each year with a "miracle" spot.

This year we had a special treat (no pun intended) as Mike's sister Beth came to visit us for the day. We did a trial run of Taylor's "Berglund family Trivial Pursuit" and laughed SO HARD I think all of us thought we might just pass out! We look forward to the upcoming reunion to play it with the whole family.

Friends are friends forever!

Christina and KC have been best friends since they were babies. Here is a shot of them up front in the "mob" while Jump 5 performed Michael W.Smith's "Friends". It was a great memory for them and they both decided it was "the best day of their life!"

Matthew and Taylor have also been best friends since they were babies. Here they ham it up for the camera on one of the little rides. The day before we were all at Great America together where Matthew made sure we all knew where the cameras were to "pose" while on the coasters! too funny!

Christina and KC enjoy a ride!

Taylor and Matthew as Jump 5 sings "friends". What I forgot to write above is that Matthew and Christina are moving at the end of the month so this was sort of a "final farewell" in many ways....though we'll still make time to see them occasionally! (they're moving to Baraboo area which is "en route" to Mike's parents house!)

Just filling up before the party starts! What an awesome day! What great kids!

What's a day out without the mechanical bull?

Taylor lasted a good 17 seconds while KC managed a decent 12 seconds!

Taylor and KC hit their first concert- JUMP 5

Jump 5 is a Christian music group that taylor and KC have loved for years. Originally there were 5 members and they were 15 and 16 years old. Now, the "kids" are older and there are only four of them. The show was fantastic though with tons of gymnastics and jumps like these!

Taylor and KC got to experience their first "autograph signing" as well. KC had them sign the back of a sweatshirt and Taylor got them to sign hisprogram. The great things was this whole concert and everything was completely free! it was sponsored by an Assembly of God church in Janesville.
Waiting in line for autographs shortly after we arrived. The big show was still to come
